چکیده

Abstract Load and shape optimisation are applied to the process of air bending optimise damage state in formed component. The enhanced elastomer is optimised, which yields a reduced due superimposed radial stresses critical area forming process. presented here twofold. First, replaced by nodal loads generate optimised for state. Second, itself via adjusting layer two kinds varying stiffness. accomplished with commercial FEM software Abaqus as solver mechanical problem Matlab used optimisation.

A process model for air bending

A so called 'three-section' model for air bending is presented. It is assumed that a state of plane strain exists and that Bernoulli's law is valid. The material behaviour is described with Swift's equation, and the change of Young's modulus under deformation is addressed. As compared with other models, the model described in the paper is capable of generating information such as required punch...

Optimisation of press-brake bending operations in 3D space

Sheet metal bending processes are applied in a multitude of mechanical parts. The process involves optimising the sequence of designated bends taking into account the total processing and handling time, avoiding collisions of the sheet metal with tools and machine and respecting the dimensional accuracy constraints of the part. Experienced operators employ expert rules to define possible differ...

DNA Damage: Air-breaks?

Cells deficient in repairing DNA double-strand breaks have an increased level of spontaneous chromosomal aberrations. Modulating the level of molecular oxygen and its reactive metabolites demonstrates that oxygen metabolism is a major source of genomic instability.

Optimisation models for re-routing air traffic flows in Europe

This paper focuses on the usability of optimisation models to support the re-routing of air traffic flows in Europe. It discusses different modelling approaches and proposes three integer programming models, with different levels of detail, aimed at re-routing air traffic flows. The models are tested on a set of test data based on the actual traffic crossing the whole French upper airspace. The...
